TL;DR

In QR Code Reader & Generator, go to Settings → Reader → Batch Scan and toggle it on. Point your camera at as many QR codes or barcodes as you need—every scan saves automatically to your Home history without interrupting the camera.

How to Enable Continuous Batch Scanning

  1. Open Settings in QR Code Reader & Generator

Launch QR Code Reader & Generator on your iPhone or iPad and tap the Settings tab in the bottom navigation bar.

  2. Enable 'Batch Scan' under Reader settings

In the Reader section of Settings, toggle 'Batch Scan' ON (available with QR Reader Pro, which includes a 3-day free trial).

  3. Scan codes continuously in the Reader tab

Switch to the Reader tab and point your camera at each QR code or 1D barcode in sequence. Each scan is recorded immediately without closing the camera.

  4. Review all captured codes on the Home tab

When finished, open the Home tab to see every scanned QR code and barcode neatly organized under today's date.

Helpful Reader Settings to Pair with Batch Scan

  • Vibrate on Scan: Enabled in Settings → Reader → Vibrate so you get instant tactile confirmation on each item even in a noisy warehouse or event hall.
  • Sound Effects: Toggle an audible beep in Settings → General → Sound Effects.
  • Keep History: Ensure Settings → Reader → Keep History is turned on so every batch item is stored for review and sharing.
Does Batch Scan work with both QR codes and 1D barcodes like UPC and Code 128?

Yes. Batch Scan decodes QR codes, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 128, Code 39, ITF, PDF417, Aztec, and Data Matrix in the same continuous session.
