Every scan happens locally on your iPhone or iPad. You can inspect full URLs before opening them, work completely offline in Airplane Mode, and lock the app with Passcode, Touch ID, or Face ID.
1. Inspect Full URLs Before Opening ("Quishing" Protection)
Attackers increasingly paste fake QR stickers over parking meters, restaurant tables, and package slips to trick users into visiting phishing pages. Unlike scanners that immediately launch a browser or hide the full URL behind a tiny banner, QR Code Reader & Generator shows the complete decoded text on a dedicated result screen first—letting you verify the domain before tapping Open.
2. 100% On-Device Decoding & Local History
Your camera feed, imported screenshots, Wi-Fi passwords, and vCard business cards are processed on-device and stored only in your local SQLite database on your iPhone or iPad. No account or sign-in is ever required.
3. Passcode, Touch ID & Face ID App Lock
Because your QR history often holds home Wi-Fi credentials, private links, and business contacts, you can enable Passcode Lock in Settings → Security (Pro) to require Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode every time the app opens.
Does the app automatically open websites when I scan a QR code?
By default, the app shows you the complete decoded result screen first—so you can read the full domain and URL path before deciding whether to open it. If you prefer automatic opening for trusted workflows, you can toggle 'Open URL Automatically' in Settings.
How do I lock the app with Face ID or Touch ID?
Open Settings → Security → Passcode Lock inside the app to set a 4-digit passcode and enable Face ID or Touch ID authentication.
