TL;DR

In QR Code Reader & Generator, open Settings → Security → Passcode Lock to protect your scan history and saved QR codes behind Face ID, Touch ID, or a 4-digit passcode.

Step-by-Step: Enable Face ID & Passcode Lock

  1. Open Settings in QR Code Reader & Generator

Tap the Settings tab in the bottom-right corner of the app.

  2. Tap 'Passcode Lock' under Security

In the Security section, tap 'Passcode Lock' and toggle 'Turn Passcode On'.

  3. Set your 4-digit passcode and enable Face ID / Touch ID

Enter your 4-digit passcode and toggle Face ID (or Touch ID) ON for instant biometric unlocking.

Can I also disable scan history completely?

Yes. If you prefer not to store scanned codes at all, go to Settings → Reader → Keep History and toggle it OFF, or swipe to delete individual items on the Home tab.
